Project Review: A Display Case project for Exhibition, completed in shortly 1 month

As a leading brand in the fashion industry for nearly a century, Dior’s exhibition “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” has made its debut in the Middle East.

Relicase’s bespoke vitrines were fortunate to be transported to Doha, helping Dior perfectly present the inspiration behind their aesthetic concepts.

The exhibition is held at the M7 Creative Hub in Qatar’s capital, Doha, featuring approximately 150 haute couture dresses, including 9 pieces from the private collection of H.H. Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the current Qatari princess.

This exhibition spans two levels, bringing many of Dior’s sources of inspiration to life—from glamorous flowers and other natural forms to classical and contemporary art.

It includes a wealth of treasured photographs, archival videos, sketches, vintage perfume elements, accessories, and handbags, all showcasing splendid old dreams.

This is yet another upgrade following successful exhibitions in Paris, London, Shanghai, and New York.

Curated by Gabet, this exhibition was specially designed for Qatar to celebrate Dior’s nearly 75 years of creative passion, interspersed with captivating haute couture pieces and works from the Paris museum’s “The Beautiful Era” collection.

Reem Al Thani, Vice President of Exhibition and Marketing at Qatar Museums, stated, “This is the first time in the Middle East, and we are thrilled to introduce it to local, regional, and international audiences.”

The exhibition officially opened for preview on November 6, 2021, in Doha. Relicase received the order for this exhibition in September, and within just one month, we delivered all the custom showcases while ensuring quality and meticulous craftsmanship.

All showcases appeared on time at the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition, presented in perfect form to audiences worldwide.

It is worth noting that “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” is the first large-scale exhibition at the M7 Creative Hub of Qatar Museums.

M7 is a creative center supporting Qatar’s thriving fashion and design industry, providing a platform for local talent and aspiring entrepreneurs to realize their dreams.

The exhibition also replicates the architectural style of “30 Avenue Montaigne” at its entrance, where Mr. Dior launched his first haute couture collection in 1947, symbolizing the “place where dreams began.” This aligns perfectly with M7’s choice to debut with the Dior exhibition.

As a company deeply committed to bespoke museum display case craftsmanship for over twenty years, Relicase provided custom showcase services for the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha in 2006.

As the top brand in China’s showcase industry, Relicase continues to advance its dreams. Being the showcase supplier for “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” in Doha is a result of the tireless efforts of Relicase’s team over countless days and nights. We are always dedicated to forging Relicase’s dreams with passion!
