Located next to the Cultural Center of the National University of Singapore, the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum is The first natural history museum in Singapore and the only permanent natural history museum in Southeast Asia. The museum was transformed from the former Raffles Museum built in 1889, and redesigned by Singaporean architect Mok Wei Wei.
The museum was funded by Lee Foundation with a total cost of 46 million USD. The 2500-squaremeter exhibition arena hosts thousands of animal specimens and plant samples in the Southeast Asia region. The stars of the museum are skeleton fossils of three dinosaurs unearthed in the deserts of the U.S. Relicase designed and customed frameless freestanding display cases for this amazing museum.
