Showcase Design Process

To allow showcases to blend in to the exhibition's environment and try to make them invisible, so as to give prominence to the exhibits.
To ensure that the structure of our showcases can be used in an indoor environment for a long time without any obvious structural changes.
To use inert materials to ensure that the exhibits will not be damaged in showcases due to chemical reactions. Irreplaceable non-inert materials, e.g. bonding glue, metal plates, fabrics, etc., are required to pass laboratory tests (e.g. Oddy test method). The ultraviolet light inside showcases should be controlled within 10μW/lm. As to the air-tightness of showcases, the air exchange rate should not be more than 0.2d-1 or less than 1% of air-exchange per day (testing with carbon dioxide test method).
Steel structures should be used in the manufacturing process to guarantee the reliability and structural integrity of the showcase. Laminated glass meeting international museum standards for security is used as anti-theft standards. Special lock systems from Finland are used in our museum showcases. All our cases can be fixed with security alarm systems whenever necessary.
Each showcase can be opened independently by an individual person. The access for daily maintenance (e.g. alarms, silica media replacements) of the showcase is separated from the exhibits display area.
Any type of lighting must meet the requirements enshrined within the Codes for Design of Lighting in Museums. This approach allows lighting that can deliver the correct museum ambience, give prominence to exhibits and at the same time, allows highlight of other secondary objects. The light sources should be concealed and it's necessary to adjust the illuminance levels and angle of light, filter out infrared light, ultraviolet light and prevent heat gain to ensure that exhibits are not damaged.
Active control and passive control of the relative humidity within a showcase can be achieved to the specific requirements set out by conservators. For showcases of special sizes, such functions as constant temperature and humidity, small oxygen-free environment, air filtration and Ethernet-based environment data monitoring, etc., can be achieved.
